DIY // FELT SHOULDER BAG
I posted a DIY felt bag a while ago, but it was more of a tote, than a shoulder bag and was a bit big for every day. So i decided to make a smaller version with a long, rope shoulder strap that is more convenient for everyday use. Here is how to make it:
You Will Need:
- 1 x rectangle of thick felt.
- 1 x scissors
- 1 x thread
- 1 x sewing machine
- 1 x piece of rope
- 1 x button
- 2 x sewing pins
- 1 x hole punch
First of all take your piece of felt. And fold it into thirds
Then pin the inside flap in place.
It should look like this ^.
Next, sew a button of your choice onto the front flap.
Then punch a hole in the top of the bag (this is where the button hole will go).
And cut a line from the hole, that is long enough for the button to fit into.
Close the bag by doing up the button and punch two more holes in the top of the bag where the rope straps will go.
Thread each end of the rope through each hole, and tie a knot on each rope.
sew along each edge of the front flap to keep them down. Then take out the pins.
And there you have it! your'e done! easy as!
